기술(지폐, 통신)이 금의 약점을 보완하자, 굳이 은을 섞어 쓸 필요가 없어져 금본위제가 전 세계를 지배하게 된 논리적 배경입니다.

이것이 금본위제였습니다. 즉, 지폐 통화와 금융 통신 시스템을 금으로 뒷받침하는 것이었습니다. 그 시점에서는 은을 사용할 이유가 줄어들었는데, 금이 훨씬 더 희귀한 금속인 데다 이제 지폐와 통신이라는 추상화 덕분에 기본적으로 은만큼이나 분할 가능하고 훨씬 더 휴대하기 편리해졌기 때문입니다.
